Assaluyeh: Host of Petroleum Minister and Members of ICA Energy Commission

The Minister of Petroleum, Rostam Ghasemi, the Chairman of Islamic Consultative Assembly (ICA) Energy Commission, Mirkazemi, the members of ICA Energy Commission, as well as high-ranking managers and directors of Iran’s oil and gas industries arrived in Assaluyeh and South Pars for a two-day visit to the largest gas field of the Middle East.

According to a report by the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars, upon their arrival in Assaluyeh, the Minister of Petroleum, Rostam Ghasemi, the Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Ghalebani, the Chairman of ICA Energy Commission, Mirkazemi, some members of ICA Energy Commission, Mousa Ahmadi, ICA-member representing Kangan, Deyr and Jam, the Head of Pars Special Economic Zone, Mousa Souri, the Managing Director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), the executors of different projects in South Pars region, as well as the high-ranking managing directors of the companies which are active and operational in South Pars, held a meeting in the Conference Hall of Pars Special Economic Zone in the course of which they reviewed the latest trend of progress made in the projects presently under construction, the problems and hinders experienced, the solutions and options available and accessible to tackle the problems, as well as the methods and procedures which may be adopted to expedite and accelerate the trend of execution of the projects in different phases of South Pars Gas Field.

In the course of the said meeting, Petropars CEO, Mohamad-Javad Shams, delivered a detailed report on the trend of progress made in Phases 12 and 19 of South Pars Gas Field Development.

To conclude the meeting, the Minister of Petroleum held a special session with Petropars CEO and the representatives of contractors active in different phases of South Pars Gas Field Development, the Managing Director of PetroSina, as well as the Managing Director of OIEC, Javadi, to be briefed on the demands and requirements of the contractors and to have a comprehensive review of the problems and issues affecting the forces and contractors active in different phases of South Pars Gas Field Development. At the end of the session, the Minister of Petroleum extended his thankfulness and gratitude to them and recommended that they should expedite their operations and activities in all executive fields of the phases.

As the representatives of the contractors involved in executive operations of different phases of South Pars Gas Field Development, Petropars CEO, Mohamad-Javad Shams highlighted the capabilities and competences of the contractors involved in onshore and offshore sections. He further commented on the problems and hinders which affect the progress trend of projects under construction in South Pars Gas Field and strongly recommended that Iranian contractor’s executive capabilities and capacities should be fully trusted.

The second day started with a visit paid to different Phases of Pars 1 of the Special Zone by the Deputies Minister of Petroleum, high-ranking oil and gas directors, the Chairman and members of ICA Energy Commission and the mangers stationed in Assaluyeh. In the course of their visit to Pars 1 of the Special Zone, which constitutes Phases 15, 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21, the Chairman and members of ICA Energy Commission reviewed the trend of progress made in different phases in the Special Zone.
