The engineers of Petropars Oilfield Services Company (POSCO) set a new record of 12.7 days- time for drilling at South Pars Gas Field.
According to a report released by the Public Relations and International Affairs Management of Petropars, the competent engineers of POSCO, a company specialized in drilling, set an unprecedented record among the proud operations of Petropars and for the first time ever managed to drill Pit 12.25 in 12.7 days at South Pars Gas Field. This record is significant because, according to the schedule approved by the Employer and on the basis of objective set by POSCO, the drilling of Pit 12.25 was due to be completed in 22 and 19 days respectively. The said record and this accomplishment resulted in 33% cut in time and cost as expected for the said drilling.

It is worth mentioning that presently POSCO operates and manages three drilling rigs including Aban 8, DD6 and Sahar 1 respectively in Phase 12, Phase 19 and fields development Project. Further, the operations still remaining for completion of 4 wells on A12 Jacket are being performed in Phase 12 in the form of Rigless in order to meet the First Production time.
