  2020 November 06
The MD-1 marine rig was located at the location of Phase 11 of South Pars in the Waters of the Persian Gulf.
According to petropars group's public relations and international affairs, the MD-1 offshore rig was cleared from the Soroush oil field on October 30 and headed towards the Iran-Qatar border position. With the complete deployment of the rig (it is expected to be carried out in the next few days), drilling and completion of five wells including a vertical well and four horizontal wells will begin at the SPD-11B platform site.
Mohammad Meshkinfam, MANAGING DIRECTOR of Pars Oil and Gas Company, said Wednesday (November 4th): After installing the deck and initial gas harvesting from these five wells, drilling of seven other wells will be completed, the capacity to harvest gas from this block is one billion cubic feet per day, which is equivalent to the operation of 11B position wells.
South Pars Phase 11 development plan has been fully entrusted to Petropars due to sanctions after the departure of France's Total corporations and the international branch of china national oil company (CNPCI).
