Study of Sefid Zakhor, Sefid Baghun, and Halgoun Gas Fields Development Assigned to Petropars: Petropars in the Heart of National Gas Field Development Plans
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the Petropars Group, at this ceremony, the study of the development of the Sefid Zakhor, Sefid Baghun, and Halgoun gas fields was jointly assigned to the Petropars Group and the Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group under an IPC contract.
During the ceremony, Javad Owji, Minister of Petroleum, stated: "The Ministry of Petroleum has achieved significant successes over the past two years, with statistics showing over 20% economic growth in the oil and gas sector in quarterly reports for the year 1402."
Owji continued: "Projects with an investment volume of $7 billion for the development of 20 gas reservoirs aimed at increasing gas production by 130 million cubic meters per day will be signed with the private sector, with $4.6 billion of the agreement signed today."
The Minister of Petroleum added: "This year, we will inaugurate 79 major projects worth $16 billion and start 50 projects worth $25 billion."
He further noted: "Oil production will increase this year, refining capacity will be boosted by 50 million tons, and petrochemical capacity will experience a 6 million ton increase."
It is worth mentioning that prior to this and based on this contract and following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Iranian Oil Company and the Petropars Group in partnership with the Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group, a kick-off meeting for the study of the development plan for the Sefid Baghun, Sefid Zakhor, and Halgoun gas fields was held in the presence of the Central Oil Fields Company, and the implementation process was initiated based on the IPC contract.
Under this contract, the production of 27 million cubic meters of gas per day and 21,500 barrels of gas condensate per day from these fields is expected, and the produced gas and condensate will be sent to the Fajr Jam Refinery, located 87 kilometers from the joint separation area of these three fields, for processing.
The "Halgoun" gas field is located in Fars province, 73 kilometers north of Assaluyeh, 25 kilometers south of the "Sefid Baghun" gas field, and north of the "Sefid Zakhor" field, with an expected daily production of 12.5 million cubic meters of gas and 11,700 barrels of gas condensate.
The "Sefid Zakhor" gas field is located 160 kilometers southeast of Shiraz, with an expected daily production of 10 million cubic meters of gas and 5,600 barrels of gas condensate.
The "Sefid Baghun" gas field is also located in Fars province, 160 kilometers south of Shiraz, with an expected daily production of 4.5 million cubic meters of gas and 4,200 barrels of gas condensate.
